Mark your calendars! MPL Philippines Season 12 kicks off on September 8 as the second major Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament in the Philippines, running until October 29.

The eight competing teams have officially been finalized; will ECHO be able to defend their title as they face a tense rematch against Blacklist International in the commencing match of the season. Adding to the excitement, there's a $150,000 overall prize pool on the line and two invitations to the M World Championship, the pinnacle of MLBB esports!

Read on to find all the details about MPL Philippines Season 12, including the tournament's format, upcoming matches, all eight competing MPL PH teams, and the current standings.

MPL PH Season 12: Format

MPL Philippines Season 12 begins with the regular season on September 8, for six weeks of action-packed MLBB gameplay, rather than the usual eight weeks, ending on October 15. All matches will be best-of-three, played in a double round-robin format.

The teams will earn points depending on their individual games won, according to the scoring system below. The top six teams from the regular season will advance to the playoffs

  • Three points for winning 2-0. 
  • Two points for winning 2-1. 
  • One point for losing 1-2. 
  • Zero points for losing 0-2. 

The playoffs will feature a hybrid elimination format. The regular season's 3rd to 6th-seeded teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket. 1st and 2nd-seeded teams receive an automatic round bye into Round 2, a double-elimination bracket.

All playoff matches will be best-of-five. The Grand Final will be best-of-seven.

MPL PH Season 12: Teams

Eight franchised MPL PH teams are competing in the regular season of the Philippines' professional Mobile Legends league. ECHO Proud are the current defending champions looking to hold their top spot. Will any other team be able to knock them off their perch?


ECHO has had a recent bout of success, winning the inaugural MDL PH, MPL PH S11, and even last year's M World Championship. Coming into MPL Philippines Season 12, they have retained their successful core player roster with no changes. If it's not broken, why fix it?

ONIC Philippines

MPL Philippines Season 12 regular season will be hosted at the Shooting Gallery Studios, located at 317 Zapote, Makati, Metro Manila, for any fans watching to see the action unfold live. The venue for the playoffs will be announced at a later date.

Not to worry for fans unable to attend, all MPL Philippines Season 12 matches will be streamed live on the official MPL Philippines TikTok and their YouTube channel, embedded below for reader convenience.

We have a breakdown of the current standings and how the $150,000 prize pool is divided between all eight competing teams. During the regular season, every team will receive a reward of $170 for every match they play as a match allowance. Check out the full list of rules here.
