A new year means a fresh start for all major regions competing in professional League of Legends esports! The nineteenth season of League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) kicks off with first split in Spring on January 17, with a proposed end date of April. 

The South Korean league has shown top levels of professional play on the international stage, gaining impressive viewership numbers in 2023. Fresh off their triumph at the LoL Worlds 2023 with T1, the reigning world champions are set to defend their title at LCK Spring 2024. Joining them are nine other strong competitors, all hungry for victory and a slice of the impressive $289,000 USD prize pool.

LCK Spring 2024: Format

Over the course of three-four months, ten teams compete to become the best of the rest in Korea's professional League of Legends league. The top two teams also automatically receive an invite to the exciting Mid-Season Invitational, reportedly to be held in China, so there's everything to play for!

Group Stage

  • Ten teams compete in a double round-robin format
  • Each team plays 18 matches, all Bo3.
  • The top six teams advance to the Playoffs, but 1st and 2nd teams receive automatic byes to the Semifinals.

Playoffs

  • Double elimination format
  • All matches are Bo5, including the Grand Finals.

LCK Spring 2024: Teams

All eyes are turning towards the LCK Spring Split and the competing teams as we approach the new year and new LCK season.

With the League of Legends 2024 rostermania, plenty of musical chairs and changes happened within each team rosters' during the offseason. Fresh off their victory in the LoL World Championship, T1 is the one of the only teams to maintain their 2023 roster coming into 2024.

LCK Spring 2024: Schedule

LCK Spring 2024 kicks off on January 17 with Week One. There will be a two-match-a-day format with games being played from Wednesday to Sunday. The schedule will be released one week at a time, so watch this space!

LCK Spring 2024: Venue and Streams

All matches during the LCK Spring Split, including the Group Stage and Playoffs, will be held at the LoL Park in Seoul, South Korea. This exciting venue can hold 400 spectators for an intimate experience, explicitly made for the LCK by Riot Games.

Plenty of broadcasts are available for fans who want to watch the matches online, covering most major regions and languages. The English-speaking stream is available on the official LCK Twitch channel, embedded below for convenience.
