Who's ready for some musical chairs! Record-breaking viewership figures for LoL Worlds 2023 and T1 reclaiming their crown have marked the end of the 2023 competitive season. As such, it's now officially that time of year again when the League of Legends esports rostermania and player transfers are in full swing.

During the off-season, teams are being rebuilt left and right in preparation for 2024 competitive play. With all the chaos, many great players of respected tenure and accolades are left teamless with free agency.

If you're confused about next year's roster changes, don't worry! This article features all the current roster changes and rumors going around for LCS, LEC, and LCK. Please note that any players with an asterisk next to their name indicate a transfer or team change has been reported but not officially confirmed.

LEC Roster Changes

LEC rosters are seeing the most switches and changes out of all the professional leagues. MAD Lions' whole roster is open for new opportunities with other teams. KOI has undergone a rebranding to change to Infinite Reality. Karmine Corp is also a fresh team joining the LEC, taking over Astralis' slot in the league.

LCS Roster Changes

As of November 20, Riot Games and the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) have announced they're cutting their teams down from ten to eight in a shocking switch. This means that Golden Guardians and Evil Geniuses are out of the LoL esports scene - any players or staff that had signed agreements with them have effectively been let go.

The region also sees a fresh face join their ranks as a new LCS team. Shopify Rebellion has acquired TSM's spot in the league after signing a reported $10 million contract deal. TSM is planning to switch its LoL operations to a different region.

LCK Roster Changes

The LCK saw great success in LoL Worlds 2023, with all their teams making it into the top ten. T1 also claimed the win ahead of LPL team Weibo Gaming in a 3-0 series, re-establishing themselves as a top team to contend with.

As of writing, the vast majority of LCK players are floating around as unsigned free agents, with their contracts having expired. Keep an eye on this, as the off-season has only just begun and there's plenty of time between now and when the next season begins.

November 22

  • Yoon "Ice" Sang-hoon, a Bot-Laner, has reportedly signed with Team BDS as their starting ADC, finishing their off-season roster line-up.
  • Ibrahim "Fudge" Allami and Robert "Blaber" Huang have both officially now signed with Cloud9 for 2024., while "Beserker" extends his contract with them
  • The Immortals 2024 roster is officially complete, with Cho "Castle" Hyeon-seong joining as their new Top-Laner.
  • Infinite Reality, previously KOI, has now reverted their rebrand and are going back to the Rogue name after their conflict wirh Ibai.
  • T1 confirm that their roster will remain the same coming into the 2024 season. After all, why change what isn't broken?

November 21

  • Jang "EMENES" Min-soo, previously a Mid-Laner for Cloud9, has made his LoL retirement official with an Instagram post. He has plans to complete his military service and study to become a veterinarian in the future.
  • There are rumors that Lee "Prince" Chae-hwan will join FlyQuest as their starting ADC, but this is yet to be officially confirmed.

November 20

  • Riot Games announced the LCS league will only feature eight teams instead of the usual ten starting in 2024. Following this, Golden Guardians and Evil Geniuses have left the league and their players have been released as free agents.
  • Carl Martin Erik "Rekkles" Karsson, who previously was a support player for Fnatic, is reportedly heading to T1's Challengers team in the LCK. This is not yet confirmed.

November 18

  • Alex "Myrwn" Villarejo, a player for the Academy team of Team Heretics, will join the LEC team MAD Lions for 2024.
  • Felix "Abbedagge" Braun and Dino "LIMIT" Tot, two players for EXCEL, both confirm they are off the starting roster.

November 17

  • 100Thieves are seemingly rebuilding their main roster from the ground up, aside from their Mid-Lane, Lim "Quid" Hyeon-seung.
  • Vincent "Vetheo" Berrié, according to Sheep Esports, has signed with Team Vitality to complete their roster for 2024.

November 15

  • Matyáš "Carzzy" Orság has reached a verbal agreement with Team Vitality.
  • Brandon "Meech" Choi has reportedly reached an agreement to join 100Thieves for 2024.

November 14

  • Mark "Markoon" van Woensel has reached an agreement with the LEC team Infinite Reality.
  • Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen, previously Mid-Laner for Dignitas, has reportedly signed with FlyQuest.
  • Kim "Dove" Jae-yeon, the substitute Mid-Laner for Invictus Gaming, has reached an agreement with Dignitas.
  • Adrian "Trymbi" Trybus, a top support role player for Fnatic, has revealed he won't be starting for any team in 2024.

November 13

  • Former Kwangdon Freecs sub support, Yoon "Jun" Se-jun, has reached a verbal agreement with Fnatic for next season.
  • Bill "Eyla" Nguyen, previously a support player for Evil Geniuses, has reached a verbal agreement with 100Thieves.
  • Lee "Peach" Min-gyu will continue to play as a Jungler for EXCEL.

November 12

  • Lee "IgNar" Dong-geun, a Support player for NRG, will be joining EXCEL as the first LCS to LEC transfer of the off-season so far.
  • Edward "Tactical" Ra, Bot-Lane for Immortal has plans to re-sign with the organization, contrary to recent rumors.
  • Kim "Olleh" Joo-sung is coming out of retirement to join Immortals after completing his mandatory military service.
  • Team Vitality's roster didn't click last split, with reports that the majority of their roster is being switched up.

November 10

  • Zhou "Bo" Yang-Bo will join Karmine Corp as their new Jungler.
  • Yasin "Nisqy" Dinçe has reached a verbal agreement with SK Gaming as their new Mid-Laner.
  • Jakob "YamatoCannon" Mebdi will be joining Karmine Corp as their head coach, finally marking his return to League of Legends esports.

November 7

  • Luka "Perkz" Perkovićhas and Martin "Wunder" Nordahl Hansen (top-laner for Fnatic) have reached verbal agreements with Team Heretics to join their LEC roster.

  • Javier "Elyoya" Prades Batalla has reached a verbal agreement with MAD Lions for a three-year contract.

November 4

  • Philippe "Vulcan" Laflamme and Joseph Joon "jojopyun" Pyun are coming to Cloud9 for the 2024 season.
  • LCS team FlyQuest have also picked up Kacper "Inspired" Słoma and Fahad "Massu" Abdulmalek for their new line-up.
  • Milan "Tenacity" Oleksij is reportedly coming out of retirement and looking for a team to join as a free agent.
  • Yanis "Striker" Kella will be joining TEAM BDS and their head coach for 2024.

October 28

  • MAD Lions coaching staff gets entirely turned over, including their Positional Coach, Systems Coach, and General Manager. Analyst Carlos "Aagie" Carpio Cuenca and Assistant Coach Quentin "Zeph" Viguié have been let go to pursue opportunities with other teams.
  • Norman "Kaiser" Kaiser to join Team Heretics as their Support player.

October 18

  • Karmine Corp officially acquires Astralis' spot in the LEC.

October 10

  • Strategic Coach Patrick "Pad" Suckow-Breum changes positions to Interim Head Coach at MAD Lions.
