The Rivalry CIS Invitational Event Format

The Rivalry CIS Invitational will use a single-group BO3 Swiss System, with each team requiring two wins to progress through to the playoffs. The Swiss System results in teams playing against opponents with identical records to themselves, to produce fair matchups. If a teams goes 1-1, they’ll face off against another team with a 1-1 record. Two wins, and you qualify for the playoffs. Two losses, and you’re out.

The four teams who successfully achieve two wins will progress to the semi-final playoffs, which are a single-elimination BO3. The Grand Final will be a BO3/5, with the winner being crowned the champion of the Rivalry CIS Invitational and taking home the $$$.
