SumaiL leaves Quincy Crew after less than a month

The Evil Geniuses veteran and TI5 winner left the revived Quincy Crew side after less than a month despite qualifying for DOTA Summit 11 after losing to EG and J.Storm in the Chengdu Major qualifier playoffs.

The surprise development was confirmed on Twitter by manager Jack Chen:

QC update: we tried to resolve our fit issues, but ultimately weren't able to do so to the point where everyone felt most comfortable and empowered to keep moving forward. @SumaaaaiL will be leaving the roster while we search for an offlaner

to be clear, no any one person was 'the problem', not sumail or anyone else. there are always complicated team issues and circumstances. we are thankful to @SumaaaaiL for both his contributions and his mentality. he clearly showed us why he's such an accomplished champion

It remains to be seen what’s next for SumaiL and what led to the split between the brothers – though “the king of the Mid” is leaving, it seems like YawaR is sticking around. It also remains to be seen why he departed before playing the Dota Summit 11 minor in early November.

Who is SumaiL?

Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan's glistening CV boasts a win at TI5 and third-place finishes at TI6 and TI8. Per Liquipedia, he "first started playing Dota when he was eight years old. When his family moved from Pakistan to Rosemont, Illinois in 2012 he began playing in the North American Elite League. [He] quickly became the highest rated player in the in-house league, establishing himself as one of the best upcoming talents in the North American scene." He is both the youngest player to win an official Valve event (doing so at only 15 years and 361 days old at DAC 2015) and the youngest player to win an International (winning TI5 while he was just 16 years and 176 days old).
