Updated: October 23 (added final results).

Marking their mark in the esports ecosystem, Moonton's MLBB development league MDL PH is back with a bang with MDL Philippines Season 2, starting on August 29.

Nurturing young talent and working as a feeder series for the MPL PH Season, new and old faces will be back as Mobile Legends continues to expand in the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

Here's everything fans need to know about MDL Philippines Season 2, including the competition's format, schedule, and all the teams competing!

MDL PH Season 2: Format

Like MPL Philippines, MDL PH Season 2 has two stages: the Regular Season and the Playoffs. Instead of MDL PH Season 1, where there were ten teams, 12 teams will compete in Season 2.

  • The Regular Season begins on August 29, running until October 5. All 12 teams will engage in a single round-robin format, where all matches are best-of-three.

There is a unique points system, detailed below. The top eight teams will advance to the playoffs with a hybrid-elimination system.

  • Three points for winning 2-0 games
  • Two points for winning 2-1 games.
  • One point for losing 1-2 games
  • Zero points for losing 0-2 games.

MDL PH Season 2: Teams

Long-time Mobile Legends fans may recognize several of the teams on this list, although some rebranding has gone ahead over the summer. With new teams and players joining the fray, MDL PH Season 2 will be electrifying, especially with a $20,000 USD prize pool on the line!
