Updated: September 25 (added final results).

DreamLeague returns with the 21st edition on September 18, as the final premier DOTA event on the calendar before The International begins in October. Twelve of the best DOTA 2 teams from around the world will be jetting off to Europe to compete online for the incredible prize pool of $1,000,000.

The ESL Pro Tour has already fielded two other tournaments this season, where Gaimin Gladiators snatched both victories in DreamLeague S19 and S20. Will they make it a third time lucky? Read on for the DreamLeague S21 standings, schedule, and more!

DreamLeague Season 21: Format

DreamLeague Season 2 features a new format compared to DreamLeague Season 20, with just one Group Stage to kick the events off. Since the competition only spans across seven days, both the Group Stage and Playoffs will encompass three and a half days, with the Grand Final on September 24.

Group Stage

  • Two single round-robin groups of six teams each.
  • All matches are best-of-two.
  • The top two teams from each group are seeded into the Upper Bracket of the Playoffs.
  • 3rd-4th placed teams from each group are seeded into the Lower Bracket.
  • The bottom two teams are eliminated.

Playoffs

  • The playoffs will feature a double-elimination bracket.
  • All matches are best-of-three, excluding the Grand Final, which is best-of-five.

DreamLeague Season 21: Teams

Twelve teams will compete in this top-tier international DOTA 2 tournament. Six teams will be representing Western Europe, three from Eastern Europe, and one team each from North America, South America, and Southeast Asia.

The teams below were all invited to DreamLeague S21 based on their EPT ranking system. No official player rosters have been confirmed yet, but watch this space!

Western Europe

Western Europe has some of the best teams in the professional DOTA 2 scene. Gaimin Gladiators have reigned supreme in the LimaBerlin, and Bali Majors for a triple hat trick this season and are looking strong coming into DreamLeague Season 21.

The remaining teams representing Western Europe also make up the other top slots on the EPT ranking system.

  • Gaimin Gladiators
  • Team Liquid
  • Tundra Esports
  • Quest Esports
  • OG
  • Entity

Eastern Europe

Eastern Europe boasts some solid teams for their region, namely 9Pandas (formerly Ex-Hellraisers), BetBoom Team, and Team Spirit, the latter of which claimed the crown at Riyadh Masters 2023.

  • 9Pandas
  • BetBoom Team
  • Team Spirit

Southeast Asia

Since DreamLeague Season 21 is more of a "mini boot camp" before the events of The International, Southeast Asia only has one team representing them this time.

  • Talon Esports

North America

North America also has one team representing their home region: Shopify Rebellion. They have had a disappointing run in the 2023 DPC season, but it's never too late to turn their luck around!

  • Shopify Rebellion

South America

Finishing off the DreamLeague Season 21 team roster is South America with the legendary Evil Geniuses, with their player roster still being confirmed.
